An intro, basic ideas and what i found that works.

What's happenin' people? Welcome to the Fitness Machine. Let me just say that I've been weightlifting, workin' out, excercisin', whatever you wanna call it, for about 7 years. Of course, i've taken my share of breaks and vacations from the gym every so often, which is important in fitness. Your body needs a break every once in a while. I used to be the one that wanted to lift heavy all of the time and throw around the most weight once i got some experience under my belt. I thought it was all about benching, squatting, curling, and workin' the triceps…forget all the other important little muscles. Once i got a little more educated about different muscle groups and how to trigger more muscle growth, along came more complicated exercises like burpees, the aligator crawl, one legged romainian deadlifts, etc. All of that is great, but what about a good eating plan? How many days should you workout? How long should a workout session be? How, when, why and where…honestly, is there a perfect blueprint in physical fitness for everybody to follow? No, there ain't one blueprint that applies to everybody. Of course, we should all strive to eat good balanced meals, but should you have exactly 2576.34 calories a day? Depends on your body type. For those of us who are more lean, and have a hight metabolism, we can stand to eat more calories, we'll burn that off anyway. On the other hand, some people really need to watch what they eat. There are so many scenarios, that i will get into later. Another factor is motivation…it is true, in many cases, that having someone to workout with will actually lead to better workouts and better results, because you are pushed to do a little more…but don't overdo it. For me, I can motivate myself to hit the gym, i love to go…but its even that much better when I have someone pushing me to do it.

In the fitness industry there are people who think that everybody should follow just one plan…I actually had a dude in the gym tell me that i shouldn't order from my local chinese restaraunt, because "carbs are the enemy", I should keep all exercises in the 12-15 rep range, "why do you wanna get stronger"…and what did I say? "Because I want to, you exercise how you want to and I do my thing over here". I don't know what it is about people who think there way is the ONLY way. Listen, if you are a person who can stand to eat a few more calories then do it. Even if you are trying to lose weight, I wouldn't tell you to just stop eating…just make better choices of WHAT you eat. You can still eat 5-6 times a day, just trade the cookies and ice cream for maybe a bannana or an apple. Every once in a while its cool to cheat with the cookies though.

It may take a little longer for some people to reach a goal than it will others, but just keep working, have that motivation. Not everybody will start off looking like a Gladiator or a Goddess, we are just not genetically written the same.

What about home gym workouts vs traditional gym workouts? Here's what i found…either is fine, maybe even both are better for more experienced people. You can get great results from home workouts just like you would going to the gym, and you don't have to have an entire weight set to do it…and no, i'm not talkin' about a one of those $1000 resistance machines either, just a few free weights and a couple of chairs, and maybe a pull up bar, or something that resembles one and you are in business. There are even a few sites dedicated to home workouts, or bodyweight workouts and you get great results. (I will not discuss anything here that I myself haven't even experienced or tried). Physical fitness doesn't have to be boring or feared.

I have actually tried and looked at a couple of these sites, and so far, after a couple of weeks of study, have found them to have great results. For instance, here is a great online community for people who want to get in shape and also help others along the way. And for that extra incentive, you get paid to do it…distribute products, or become a coach to others…or both, which is the key to make the most out of it. Its not expensive at all and the people on this site love sharing ideas…you can even meet up with an online buddy to workout together, its a social network just like Myspace, but its about physical fitness, and having fun. The guy who introduced me even helped me to make my own site , and i have another site which has my back office, all of my tools are in here. Its a good way to meet other people with the same interest in physical fitness as you, and plus it keeps you motivated to stick with staying in shape. Here is an intro to one of the many programs available…

They have the best workout routines to follow, and will have you in the best shape you can be in. I'm always looking for a new challenge and a new way to physical fitness, and will continue to post here with updates regarding the finess industry so far as workouts, supplements, equipment, and whatever else I think will be of help. Stay tuned…until next time.
